San Francisco 2009

I had a chance to go on a girls trip to San Francisco with my mom, Raena (SIL) and Paula (cousin). We walked a lot and saw alot of things there. The weather was great, but it was at times really windy and cloudy.
(Reana, Paula, my Mom witing to go to Alcatraz)
The trip to Alcatraz was Freezing! It was windy and cloudy, the opposite of Arizona.
Alcatraz was amazing! There is so much history in such a small island. I wish Pher was there to see it, He would have loved it!
After Alcatraz, we went to the fishersman wharf. It was great with tons of cute shops! Plus, there we saw the aquarium, the seals, and ate yummy nutella and banana crepes.

We rode on a cable car and saw Ghiralerlli square. All of the girls brought chocolate back for our hubbies. We were able to ride on a double decker and saw the city and then we were able to explore the parts of town that we wanted to see.
Here we are about to enter Chinatown.
While at Chinatown, We found this hat in one of the stores and Paula had to try it out. There were a millon signs saying "no pictures please" but because this hat was too funny to pass up we broke the rules and took 2 pictures.

Here are more pictures from our double decker bus tour.

On Saturday, we were able to do a temple session, and enjoy the beautiful temple grounds.
(I was playing with textures. What do you think?)
That afternoon we went to Sausalito and saw the Muir woods. The trees were huge. They have done a great job protecting them, and they were so worth going. (look at how tall the trees are compared to Raena)

(I really like ho I blurred the guy in the picture)

On our way back from the Muir woods, stopped and saw the Golden Gate Bridge and it was amazing!! We were really excited to see it because almost the whole weekend it was covered with fog.
(place of fine arts)
Sunday was the day that we could see everything that we weren't able to see and do before we returned home.

We went to the Golden Gate Park and walked around the Japanese Tea Garden. Did you know that San Francisco and the bay area have the largerst Japaneese population in the United States? (I didn't)

Here is another fact: Washington DC and San Francisco were the only 2 cities that were given Cherry blossom trees by the Japaneese goverment.

Do these look familiar? These are the painted ladies that are at the begining of every full house episode. They were so beautiful and I want to buy one.

We took some pictures in front of Lombard Street the most croocked street in the world. That street is amazing! I fell bad for the people that live by it, because it was packed with tourists.

And we went home after this amazing trip. Pher is coming with me next time!

The latest and greatest

I figured since I haven't blogged in 4 weeks that I was due for a re-cap:

First things first, I miss Pher terribly!! And I am really happy that he comes home soon Ü.

Good thing that I have her (Pandora) to keep me company.

Pher is in Oklahoma with these lovely ladies. He is visiting family there and because of work I was not able to go.

On other exiting news, I am going to SAN FRANSISCO with 3 lovely ladies (mom, Paula-cousin, and Raena-SIL).

That was my exciting recap. After the trip to SF I will catch up on blogging.

Colorado Pictures

Here are some of my edited pictures that I took in Colorado. The first one I took when I went to Fort Collins. They have an actual bike library. You can just go in there and check out a bike. What a great idea!

Here are some in Downtown Denver. Denver is beautiful!!! I would not mind moving there! The have an mall called 16th Street mall. It is about 8 blocks long! There are buses that just drive up and down, People playing chess in the middle of the street, beautiful stores, well you get the picture.

These pictures were taken when I visited Estes Park and Rocky National Park. The leaves were changing, the weather was nice, Thank you to my job for giving me such a great trip!
